Sarah's Key by Tatiana De Rosnay

When, during the Vel d’Hiv roundup of Jews in Paris in 1942, 10-year-old Sarah is arrested with her family, she hides her younger brother in a cupboard in her family's apartment. 60 years later, journalist Julia Jarmond is assigned to write an article about the roundup and discovers family secrets that connect her to Sarah and the hiding place.
