The Hindi-Bindi Club by Monica Pradhan

Told from the points of view of six different women, this novel explores intergenerational tension between a group of traditional Indian mothers (nicknamed the Hindi-Bindi Club by their daughters) and their Westernized daughters. Interspersed with recipes and traditions, this novel shows how the women who break with culture are eventually drawn home.
