Casting Spells by Barbara Bretton

Chloe Hobbs is a sorcerer's daughter and owner of Sticks & String, a knitting shop in Sugar Maple, a Vermont town populated by warlocks, vampires, witches, and other paranormal inhabitants. Despairing of ever coming into her own powers, she meets Luke MacKenzie, the all-too-human cop investigating the town's first homicide and sparks literally fly.

I enjoyed this bit of paranormal fluff. It is chick lit with designer yarn instead of designer shoes. The town is "Bewitched" on steroids with vampires and other creatures who are just regular folks. The romance is sweet, not sweaty so is suitable for many readers.

Far more a romance than a mystery, it was still cute. I enjoyed it. looking forward to the sequel.
