FARM FRESH MURDER by Paige Shelton

When Becca Robins’ friend, Abner is suspected of killing a local peach grower at Bailey’s Farmer’s Market, Becca goes from making jams to being in one when she tries to prove his innocence. A cozy mystery with great characters set in rural South Carolina.

Kind of a nice fun read. Not great literature.

Fun and enjoyable. There was also a good dose of suspense. There wasn't any wasted fill writing with this one like there is with so many of this type. I was surprised by how much I liked it.

If you liked this one, try the sequel: Fruit of all Evil. Also, the author lives in Salt Lake and writes for the Salt Lake Tribune!

I agree. I liked it, and I may even read the next book in the series, but it's down a ways on my books-to-read list.

Becca, the main character, is a strong female character. The story was fun with a great love triangle twist. If you like cooking, there is also some recipes from the story at the end of the book.
