Angelina loses her job about the same time her husband dies of a heart attack. To assuage her grief she turns to cooking, and shares her bounty with her neighbors. Neighborhood bachelors, who are starved for good food, soon gather around her table and Angelina may be on her way to realizing her dream of owning her own restaurant.

This book was well written. I enjoyed the overall story, and loved hearing about the food. The ending left me frustrated with the men in the society Angelina lived more than anything. Still, the characters are kind and you can't help but fall in love with their interactions. It's a fun food book.
